Anna is an Assistive Technology Specialist Speech and Language Therapist within the team. Anna’s role is to work with individuals using our service to assess and provide appropriate electronic assistive technology.
Anna graduated from the University of St Mark and St John, Plymouth in 2015 with a BSc (Hons) in Speech and Language Therapy. Prior to working for Barnsley Assistive Technology, Anna has worked in early years, primary schools, clinics and special schools. Anna previously worked as part of local AAC team providing assessment and support to children across mainstream and special schools.
Anna says:
“Working with AAC users and their families has continued to drive my interest in this clinical area. I enjoy seeing and supporting the assessment and implementation of AAC, especially how this can give people a way to communicate, express their personalities, reduce frustration and open up a world that may not previously have been accessible.
I am excited to be working as part of a team with the same passion and interests, as well as continuing to broaden my knowledge in AAC and EC as research and technology develops and changes.”
